In addition, waste cooking oil produced by households and small businesses is often unmanaged, posing environmental risks. This community engagement program aimed to enhance the skills of PKK women in utilizing local resources and converting household waste into value-added products. The activities included the delivery of materials on producing traditional coconut cooking oil and Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), followed by hands-on workshops on making waste-cooking-oil soap and rice-based solid soap. A participatory approach was implemented through lectures, discussions, and guided practice. The results show that participants gained an improved understanding of coconut oil processing and were able to independently produce waste-oil soap and rice soap with acceptable texture and aroma. Challenges encountered included limited equipment for VCO practice and difficulties during soap molding. Overall, the program successfully increased community knowledge, technical skills, and awareness of local resource utilization while opening opportunities for small-scale entrepreneurship based on simple, locally sourced products.</p> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Wellyalina Wellyalina, Eddwina Aidila Fitria, Wawan Sumarno, Muhammad Faruqi Aidi, Hannisha Nanda Gussry https://aijsed.lppm.unand.ac.id/index.php/aijsed/article/view/75 Strengthening Community Disaster Resilience Through The Integration of KKN Kebencanaan and PKM-MNM in Padang City 2026-04-25T14:25:43+00:00 Daimon Syukri sdaimon02@gmail.com Jonrinaldi Jonrinaldi jonrinaldi772000@gmail.com Susiana Susiana susiana@eb.unand.ac.id <p>Disaster-prone regions require integrated and participatory approaches to enhance community resilience. This outreach program aims to enhance halal food security through community empowerment and the revitalization of the BUMNag. Activities were carried out through outreach, training in the processing of local agricultural products—such as banana nuggets and cookies—and guidance on agricultural innovations based on appropriate technology. The results of the activities demonstrate an increase in community knowledge regarding the diversification of local food products, the application of appropriate technology, and awareness of the importance of halal food security. Additionally, the community has become more capable of managing local products creatively and competitively. With the revitalization of the BUMNag, it is hoped that this institution can once again serve as a driving force for a self-reliant and sustainable village economy. These findings indicate that community empowerment through participatory approaches and appropriate technology can enhance local capacity in the development of a halal food-based economy.</p> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Rahmi Awalina, Wellyalina Wellyalina, Tevina Edwin https://aijsed.lppm.unand.ac.id/index.php/aijsed/article/view/77 Preventive Psychoeducation as an Anti-Bullying Strategy for Students at SDN 07 Simpang Utara 2026-04-26T16:34:32+00:00 Aisyah Nurbaitul Idayah nomiad3214@gmail.com Naila Faiza Rianti nomiad3214@gmail.com Annisa Z. The activity aimed to provide an understanding of bullying through psychoeducation. Psychoeducation serves as a preventive measure before the emergence of psychological issues that have negative impacts on individuals or groups. The activity involved 30 students from grades 4 and 5 and was held in January 2026. The method used was psychoeducation, conducted in three sessions: the first session involved presenting material through lectures and discussions; the second was a sharing session; and the third was a story-writing session, where students wrote stories to be posted on a “story tree” to be displayed at the school. This activity resulted in an increased understanding among students regarding the forms, impacts, and ways to avoid bullying, as well as an increase in students’ courage to express their feelings. Psychoeducation can serve as an effective preventive strategy to reduce bullying behavior in elementary school environments.</p> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Aisyah Nurbaitul Idayah, Naila Faiza Rianti, Annisa Z.
